About Onion Microgreens Seeds
Onion microgreens are thin green shoots that look like tiny spring onions. They have a mild onion flavour without the sharp bite, so they work well as a fresh topping on salads, dals, omelettes, raita and chaat.

Sowing and Care for Onion Microgreens
Soaking: Soak the seeds in water for 4-6 hours before sowing. This helps them sprout evenly.
Sowing: Spread the seeds evenly over a moist growing mix, press them down lightly and cover with a thin layer of mix, about 0.5 cm.
Watering: Mist once or twice a day. Keep the mix moist, not soggy.
Light: After sprouting, keep the tray in bright indirect light. Turn it now and then so the shoots grow straight.
Harvesting: Cut just above the soil with clean scissors when the shoots are 3-4 inches tall. See the sowing guide image for step by step instructions.
Precautions While Growing
Do not sow too thick, as crowded seeds can get mouldy
Avoid over-watering and keep the tray in a place with some airflow
Use a clean tray and fresh growing mix each time
Rinse the harvested greens before eating and store them in the fridge
